Rather, each section will offer an overview and review of each topic, emphasizing the key concepts and equations in each one, and then illustrating them with sample problems. Much of the relevant material for the exam is covered in the FE Reference Handbook, This handbook will be the only reference material available during the exam. The content of the manual is limited, and so limits the scope of the equations and topics covered. Because the exam format and the handbook are not typical of most engineering exams that you will have encountered, we first spend some time discussing the exam format and the manual.
